Human emotions. Can someone give me...some relationship advice? I feel like I'm doing everything wrong. I wish...there was some way for me to understand humans better.
Here's the situation, for those who aren't already aware: Lon and I have never really had a normal or stable relationship but things became very complicated once he died again. I thought I would feel better about connecting with him now that he's no longer living anyhow, but I don't. He says he's being selfish and it's not my fault, but I feel like there is something I'm not giving him that would make him happy. I know he's been sort of...straying from me recently and I should be glad, but I'm...not exactly. [The situation with Jin suits me just fine, but the other two are questionable for various reasons.]
I know he and I are very different...that I'm very different from any human. But I want to understand so badly. I want to be able to show my affection somehow, to show my feelings in a way a human can understand. But without going too far...
Please give me your opinion. What should I do? | | Sunday, July 25th, 2010 | | 11:33 pm |
humans [in the attic...alone.]
[Ryoji's form is changing erratically as he speaks to himself, and his voice is somewhat distorted. He seems to be in a state of extreme confusion, his feelings conflicted.]

Some extra info on Ryoji. MEMENTO MORI//remember you are mortal...
In 1999, the Kirijo Group, a company of great influence, was conducting secret experiments on the monsters known as Shadows. The purpose of these experiments was to find a method of using the Shadows' great abilities to control and alter the fabric of time and space. The head researcher, Dr. Kirijo, had malevolent plans for these studies and attempted to create a being that would bring about the end of the world. Another scientist heard of these plans, and set off an explosion during the final stages of this experiment. This explosion brought about the time period known as the Dark Hour, and Tartarus (also known as the Tower of Demise). Death managed to escape the explosion, but he was left in an incomplete state and broke off into twelve pieces to create powerful Shadows. As the weakened form of Death wandered, lost, he encountered the Anti-Shadow Weapon known as Aigis. Death was too powerful for her to defeat alone, so Aigis sealed him into the mind of a young boy who was watching nearby. This boy was Minato Arisato, the protagonist of Persona 3.
Ten years later, Minato was assigned to the dorms of Iwatodai. In the dorms there was a group known as SEES - the Special Extra-curricular Execution Squad. The members of SEES were all able to access a power known as Persona (a manifestation of one's inner self), to defeat Shadows. A powerful Shadow attacked the dorm, and Minato was forced to defend himself. He called upon the power of Orpheus, but Orpheus was immediately ripped apart by the spirit of Thanatos. Thanatos violently disposed of the attacking Shadow and effectively saved his host's life.
After this event, a mysterious young boy of about ten years of age begun appearing to Minato in his sleep. This boy introduced himself as Pharos and quickly became friends with Minato. Pharos gave warnings of "ordeals" that would take place every full moon, which were more of the powerful Shadows attacking. He also talked about the approach of "The End", also known as "The Fall". Months passed, and the twelve major Shadows were defeated one by one. Pharos came to visit Minato during the morning the day after it was defeated, and said that he has regained his memories and must leave.
Five days later, a transfer student known as Ryoji Mochizuki joined Minato's class. He gained many female (and jealous male) admirers right away due to his flirty, cheerful attitude. Ryoji became fast friends with Junpei Iori, a member of SEES, and began hanging out with him in the Iwatodai dorms. During one full moon, Ryoji was shown standing on the Moonlight Bridge - the same place where he fought with Aigis ten years ago. Aigis recognized him for who he was right away, although it took a few minutes of explanation in order for Ryoji himself to gain his memories back. He realized that he had been subconsciously leading Minato to defeat and reunite all of his missing pieces. Now he was fully complete, so Aigis stood no chance against fighting him this time and was quickly subdued. When the other members of SEES come to her aid, Ryoji explains everything. He is The Appriser of Death, whose fate is to usher the great maternal being known as Nyx into this world. This in turn, will cause The Fall - the time when Nyx will bring an end to all life in this world. Ryoji tells the members of SEES that Nyx cannot possibly be defeated and that The Fall is inevitable. The most he can do is offer a choice. The members of SEES can either let Ryoji live and wait out the coming of The Fall in fear of their impending death, or kill Ryoji and lose all of their memories related to him, the Shadows, and The Fall. Ryoji leaves them to think about their choice, and vows to return a month later on New Year's Eve.
Ryoji comes back as he had promised. He gives a brief review of their choices, and makes it clear that he thinks being killed will be the best option for everyone. Ryoji goes to wait in Minato's room until midnight to let the members of SEES deliberate. They choose to let him live, despite Ryoji's desires to let them all live peacefully until the time of The Fall. Nonetheless, he lets them know that Nyx can be confronted at the top of Tartarus on January 31st. Ryoji leaves and wishes them all "best wishes in the coming year".

-Quick clarification: Ryoji was sealed into the mind of Minato Arisato, a young child at the time. He appears as Pharos, who is physically ten years old when he appears in Persona 3...because he has been sealed inside of Minato for ten years. When Minato asks how he got into his room upon first meeting him, Pharos says "I am always with you." It is quite literal. The reason Pharos appears because of the coming of The Fall. -Also: I already said this in the entry about canon points but Ryoji's is during the wait while Minato and the rest make up their minds on whether or not to kill him, so, he remembers everything at this point but has not yet witnessed The Fall (rather, the defeat of Nyx, since we already know The Fall isn't completed. 6___9 whoa, we know more than ryoji). | | Thursday, June 3rd, 2010 | | 1:41 pm |
Sebastian. I have something...someone for you.
[Ryoji holds out "Sebastian's precious girlfriend," who is wiggling about in his arms. She seems to dislike Ryoji, or is at least scared of him, because she's trying to get away from him rather fiercely.]

Ryoji Mochizuki's secrets to the universe. Ryoji Mochizuki's secrets to the universe. AKA what taking Introduction to Philosophy does to KKJ. OOC Note: for Suzume to see only...Ryoji's not gonna go telling this to anyone. ;; Everyone here is deluded. You tell them anything and they'll believe it. Stick them in a world they've never been to before and they'll believe anything you tell them about it. (I told everyone that no one in this world can die. It isn't true. But what reason is there to kill each other anyway? If they believe it's true, maybe it is true. After all, this world...) This world isn't what everyone thinks it is. (Not at all. This world doesn't even exist. It's a figment of their imaginations. Mass delusion. See? I told you they're all deluded. No, I'm kidding. It's real. It's real and it's actually kind of unfortunate. It's a plaything. She loves her playthings. So, it's basically a figment of her imagination that she's brought to life and the people here are her toys. Who is she? Well...I'll get to that eventually, but...) I guess we should consider just what exactly controls this world. This world exists in an alternate dimension, pulling in pieces of all other possible worlds. Do you know the theory? Possible worlds? To put it simply, it says that our world is just one of an infinite number of possible worlds. The theory says that our possible world was chosen by coincidence, but that any variation thereof could feasibly exist. The truth of it is that each of these possible worlds does exist, but on alternate planes or dimensions. This world, Agarthia as she calls it [OOC Note: this is a reference to " Agartha"], is not one of these possible worlds as it defies physical laws in its very existence. However, this world is the creation of the controller of one possible world -- a familiar one to many of us -- a dollhouse for her to play with, to observe as if we are bugs in a glass ant farm. She is all-knowing, and thus draws information from all possible worlds into this one. The world frequently changes because it must constantly assume bits and pieces of all possible worlds -- an infeasible task since there are an infinite number of possible worlds. That all being said, the creator made this world and naturally wanted to populate it. Her own creations -- Rasaki and her kind -- were shells of people with little need for human necessities. In short, they bored her. However, the creator could not simply make humans. Even her powers do not extend that far, at least without the process of evolution taking its course and she didn't want to wait that long. So, instead she drew people in. In fact, she only needed to draw in a few to set things in motion. This world feeds on imagination and willpower. The thoughts and feelings of its inhabitants brought others into the world after them -- loved ones, friends, family, or in some cases a certain kind of person or a person that would set about a certain desirable result or chain of events. The creator herself brought only the original thirteen -- Sasarai, Yun, Fenimore, Shinjiro, Akihiko, Jay, Walter, Grell, Dahlia, Ashe, Takaya, Chidori, and Jin. The rest came at the inhabitants' own will. Now, as for the creator's identity...her name is Eurynome [OOC Note: called the Goddess of All Things...blame my Piper's Inferno research ;;]. She is a goddess that watches over all possible worlds, but has certain authority over one in particular. Likewise, there are other watchers and creators but they hold no importance in this situation, so let's not get ahead of ourselves. My own role in this place is to simply watch. I am a disciple of a Eurynome and her fellow watchers. I was created to improve humankind. Humans that exist without death also exist without fear. With no fear there are no limits on what is physically possible, meaning there is no discretion. I was created to make humans appreciate what was given to them and glue their existence to borrowed time. With death comes fear, but also motivation, aspirations, dreams. The urgency to complete their desires within their short lives becomes paramount. All in all, people without death are despicable creatures. Thus, I was created and have served all possible worlds since. As I said, I have been placed on this world to watch. Eurynome does not have a physical body and cannot communicate with mortals. I can. So, I do her dirty work. Like always. What is her dirty work, you ask? She wants me to exacerbate situations, fuel fights and romances and ignite passion...with the exception that things don't get out of hand. It's a vague thing, really...but that's because its only purpose is to entertain her. Do I mind? Not especially. She lets me do what I want to for the most part and as with her, it also entertains me. So...she lets me lie and take the forms of others' bodies for mischief's sake all because it gives her a laugh or two. Hate to break it to you, but that's how every possible world really functions. Some watchers have more interest in progress and fruitfulness but most are just in it for the laughs. And so! That's the gist of things. If there's anything I forgot about, feel free to ask. Oh? You mean how I can't tell any of this to anyone? Ah, that... that's because the people here could easily use the information to their advantage. Think about it: this world gives limitless power to those who can acknowledge and harness it. Someone who knows of their full capabilities here could summon whoever and whatever they wanted, kill whoever they wanted and just generally wreak havoc and chaos. Eurynome doesn't want that. She's seen everything. She's seen war and poverty and famine and everything in between. She's sick of that stuff. The only entertainment she wants is entertainment that is unique to the people involved -- human interaction. So, if I told everyone about this stuff, it wouldn't be long before her entertainment went up in a cloud of smoke. She would have to start all over again, and well, that'd be a big pain. Plus, she's sort of fond of you guys. And that's that. No one can know, because if they did, anything could happen. |
